Anthea was born in Cottesloe Western Australia and came to England aged six. Her artist mother and journalist father were travelling the world but they found that they liked Australia so much that they stopped there for eight years.
She has lived most of her life in and around the New Forest area. She was educated at Brockenhurst Grammar School and studied art at Bournemouth Art School ( now Arts University, Bournemouth ), Winchester Art School (now the Art School of The University of Southampton) and did teacher training at Weymouth College.
She is an animal lover and for many years owned and rode horses in The Forest. Anthea also spent time sailing off the Hampshire and Dorset coasts.
Anthea is an accomplished painter working in oils and acrylics; her subjects include landscapes, horses, pets and portraits ( as commissions ), martial arts, sailing, cycling and sport in general.
She has exhibited at Southampton City Art Gallery.
Anthea is married to Barry and lives on the South Coast and in North Yorkshire, which areas provide inspiration for her paintings.
